A boat fire can ruin your whole day! Prevent fires. Follow proper fueling procedures.  Always check with your nose and eyes for fuel vapors.  Inspect your fuel system regularly for loose fittings, and old and worn hoses.  Check to make sure your engine room ventilation is working properly and the vent ducts are not obstructed.  (hornets love to nest in them)  Check electrical systems regularly for loose connections, worn or frayed wiring and proper operation of electrical equipment,  especially in any space where there are fuel tanks, fuel lines, or engines.
