Ride Safe: Personal Watercraft Industry Stresses Safety & Fun as
1 million PWC Take to the Water this Summer

USCG, Industry Leaders, Elected Officials and Environmental Organizations will Join PWIA in Kicking-Off the “Summer Safe Rider” Program

WHAT:            As boating season kicks off this Memorial Day, more than 1 million personal watercraft (PWC) will take to the water in the United States. PWC have become an increasingly popular choice for marine recreation; but as Americans get ready for fun on the water, it’s important they know how to play safe.

                        The Personal Watercraft Industry Association (PWIA) will kick off its “Summer Safe Rider” Campaign with safety demonstration events in Lake Lanier, GA, as well as a social media awareness campaign focused on safety tips and a “safe rider” pledge. The goal is for 100,000 PWC riders of all ages to sign the pledge by July 4.
